During my internship at InsuranceDekho, I contributed as a Full Stack Engineer Intern to several key projects related to the renewal processes for both Motor and Health Insurance. This role gave me the opportunity to work closely with insurers, manage complex integrations, and handle critical backend services. Below are some of the highlights from my time at InsuranceDekho:
Integrated Renewal Processes for Motor and Health Insurance
I was responsible for managing 2-4 major integrations for insurance renewals, working extensively with APIs provided by insurer companies. These integrations were crucial for automating and streamlining the renewal process, which resulted in over 1,000 successful daily renewals. This was a large-scale integration where I ensured the smooth flow of information between the InsuranceDekho platform and insurers’ systems.
AWS Infrastructure and Deployment Management
I managed and deployed staging environments on AWS, overseeing the entire lifecycle from development to production. This involved utilizing Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines and SSH for live log monitoring. I played a crucial role in maintaining system stability with a 99.8% uptime, ensuring the seamless deployment of updates without causing any disruption to ongoing services.
Collaborated with Insurers for API Integrations
My work required extensive collaboration with insurance companies to integrate their renewal processes. I handled everything from understanding insurer API documentation, addressing specific requirements, conducting tests, and ensuring final production signoffs. I also actively resolved integration issues, reducing resolution times by 50%, which improved the overall efficiency of the renewal process.
Contributed to the Admin Panel in React
While my primary focus was on backend development, I also contributed to the front-end by adding features to the company’s admin panel, which was built in React. These features improved the user experience for over 50+ internal users who relied on the panel for their daily operations. My contributions helped enhance the system's usability and supported various administrative functions.
